Madeline L. Harris Hamm, 84, died on August 11, 2007, at her residence following a sudden illness.
She was born May 25, 1923, in Kansas, and resided in Anderson most of her life. Madeline retired in 1975 from the Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 30 years of service. She was a graduate of Fortville High School. She was a member of Broadway Order of Eastern Star #519, Madison County Ladies Shrine Club. Madeline loved ceramics and crochet.
She is survived by her daughter: Nancy Clifford Hatton of Alexandria. Son: Larry’s special friend, Maggie Clark Hamm of Anderson. Stepson: Michael Sharon Hamm of Greenfield. Sister: Deloris Calvert of Wilkinson. Brother: Don Harris of Leesburg. Grandchildren: Victor Karri Graves of North Dakota, Danny Christie Graves of Michigan. James Trish Stanely of Cicero. Scott Stanley of Linton, Kimberly Brian Barker of Greenfield, Kelli Tim Karczewski of Texas, and Kristen David Hahn of McCordsville. Great-grandchildren: Amanda, Shae, Megan, Nicole, Brandon, Jared, Makayla, Trent, Kyra, Lauren, Lindsey, Wyatt, Madison, Hailey, Jacek, and Regan. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her husband: Roy Lee Hamm in 1993. parents: Omar and Mabel Harris. Stepdaughter: Cynthia White. Brother: Harold Harris. Sister: Barbara Dew.
