Madeleine Wilhoit Martin, 75, passed away May 21, 2015 at the Margaret Z Dozier Hospice House. She was born April 22, 1940 in Quincy, Florida to the late Dr. Sterling Edward Wilhoit and Mary Sapp Wilhoit.
She was a retired accountant with the Florida Department of Education. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women Mary Martha Circle. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Holly Circle Garden Club. She enjoyed going on trips with her daughter and granddaughter, traveling with her friends in the Good Sam’s Camping Club, and traveling to the north Georgia Mountains.
She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, loving her kitty and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Connell; granddaughter, Kyrstal Connell; and half-brother, Merrill Wilhoit. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her half-brother, Sterling Wilhoit.
