Madeleene passed away August 8, 2021, at the Hildebrand Care Center in Canon City at the age of 91.
She was born to Carl and Josie Boyd on December 5, 1929. She graduated from Florence High School in 1946. On December 26, 1947, in a quick trip to Raton, New Mexico, she was wed to Robert Koefoed. My mom’s comment when asked if they had a honeymoon was always, “Oh heaven, we had to get back the same day to milk cows.
She is survived by her son; Jack (Mary) Koefoed, daughter; Connie Taylor, grandson’s; Raymond (Stephanie) Koefoed, Richard (Christina) Taylor and Russell Taylor, step-grandson; Jason Love, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Madeleene is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters; Lois and Hildred, and brothers; Alfred and Claude.
