Madalyn E. (Non) Janson, 86, of 169 Valley Heights Drive, formerly of Jefferson Street, Milton, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at The Gatehouse Hospice following a brief illness.
Madalyn’s husband, Joseph M. Janson, died on November 3, 1980. They were married on April 20, 1947.
Madalyn was a member of the Muncy Presbyterian Church and a former church elder. She participated in numerous bible study groups.
Madalyn made numerous baby afghan’s and caps, loved baking and sharing her cookies and cooking. She was a secretary of Cargill Industries, Milton.
Born December 1, 1924 in Sunbury, she was the daughter of William and Helen Heintzelman Underkofler. She was raised by her grandparents, Samuel and Luella Heintzelman.
Surviving are daughters, Judith J. (Paul) Bower of Williamsport and Patti J. (Michael) Davis of Apopka, FL; brother, Norman Underkofler of St. Louis, MO; sister, Doris Heverly of Mill Hall; grandchildren, Jason (Shannon) Eichensehr of Jersey Shore, Amie Bower (J. Bryan) Dennison of Louisville, KY, Gretchen Bower of Lexington, KY, Heather (Sebastian)Peralta of Savannah, GA and Ben Davis of Apopka, Fl; great grandchildren, Kendall and Grayson Eichensehr, Cody, Brandon and Kennedy Dennison and Janson and Jackson Peralta.
Madalyn was predeceased by a sister, Carol Limburg.
