Mack Merritt 81 of 304 Roseboro Street passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his home.
Mack was born in Sampson County in 1936 to the late Lewis and Eunice Carter Merritt. He enjoyed working on tractors and was the owner and operator of Mack’s Small Engine Repair in Garland, NC, he is preceded in death by his daughter Debra Ward and brother Lewis Merritt Jr.
Mack leaves to cherish his memory: His loving wife of 62 years: Betty Hall Merritt of the home, Brother: Donnie Merritt and wife Peggy of Clinton Sisters: Melba Batts and husband Gerald of Goldsboro, Faye Robinson and husband Charles of Garland, Sister-in-law: Dot Howard Merritt of Fayetteville, Two (2) grandchildren: Chad Honeycutt and Terry Mathieu, Four (4) great-grandchildren: Cody Mathieu, Jordan Honeycutt, Justin Honeycutt and Holly Honeycutt. The family will receive friends following the service.
