Mack Allan Burns
July 7, 1925  –  March 31, 2014 

Mack Allan Burns, 88 of Heber Springs passed away Monday, March 31, 2014.  He was born Tuesday, July 7, 1925 in Warren, Arkansas to the late Clemon Altus Burns and Martha Grace Bond Burns. He graduated from Warren High School in the class of 1943.  In addition to his parents, Mack is preceded in death by three siblings, Rex Bond Burns, Bonnie Clem Burns Pinnell and Becky Ann Burns.

 

Mack is survived by his wife that he married May 29, 1960, Murlene Mcbroome Woods Burns; three children who he lovingly adopted, Shelby Woods, Wayne Woods, Floye Ann Woods; three grandsons, Michael Woods, Chance Woods, Kyzer Woods; two granddaughters, Casey Woods-Flores and her husband, Arian, and Lindsey Payton and her husband Pete; seven grandsons, Tanner Rackley, Caleb Payton, Cole Payton, Carter McElhany, Luca Woods-Flores, Dante Woods-Flores, Mateo Woods-Flores; a niece, Martha Pinnell Pieroni; a nephew, Worthen White; a great niece, Jessia; a great nephew, Joseph; along with a great-great niece and three great-great nephews; other relatives and many friends.

 

Mack moved to Dumas, Arkansas in July, 1958 to become the plant manager of Dumas Fish Farmers Cooperative Association.
