Mable H. Caldwell, 103 of Winslow passed away November 17, 2007. She was born October 7, 1904 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Gordon and Alta Hendrix.
She came to Winslow, in 1946 and raised her family here. He was a homemaker and former photographer. She was active in the Winslow community and gave of her self generously. She was an active Order of the Eastern Stares, for over 50 years, was a past Worthy Matron, a Past mother adviser of the Rainbow Girls, and served on the Hospital Auxiliary board and a member of the Winslow Women’s Club. She was an active member of the Methodist church for until her health declined, but remained faithful until the end. Mable was known for her love of cats and always shared their companionship. She has resided at Padilla’s Residential Care.
Mable is survived by her daughters, Patsy Burger of Winslow, June Dodd of Grapevine, TX, and son, Kenneth Shelly of Dale City, VA, nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Caldwell in 1989, her parents Gordon and Alta Hendrix, and brother Jack Hendrix.
