Mable D. Richardson, December 12, 1922 – November 9, 2013.

Mable D. Richardson, 90 of Belton. Mrs. Richardson passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at a The Wesleyan at Scenic Nursing Home in Georgetown, Texas. She was born on Decemeber 12, 1922 in Glenmora, Louisiana the daughter of Calvin Dousay and Sisley (Bass) Dousay.

She attended Nursing School in Alexandria, Louisiana; moved to Texas in 1957 and worked for Dow Chemical Company in Freeport for 34 years. She was president of the Texas Occupational Nurses Association and served as Director of the American National Association of Occupational Nurses. Upon retirement, she moved to Central Texas where she was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joyce Sauls.

She is survived by one daughter, Calvinette Richardarson-Moore; one sister, Patricia Peirce; three step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren; along with her extended family of friends and beloved caregivers at the Wesleyan at Scenic for whom she loved so dearly.
