Mabelle G. Miller, age 94 of Rensselaer, passed away at the Rensselaer Care Center on January 10, 2009. She had been a resident of Rensselaer since 1938. Mabelle was born on April 29, 1914 in Shelby, Indiana, the daughter of Jesse Elmer Latta and Hattie Belle (Strader) Latta. She attended the Shelby and Lowell, Indiana grade schools and Fair Oaks High School.
She was employed in a number of vocations over her lifetime and was a devoted and loyal employee. She worked in food service at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Rensselaer, the laundry department at St. Joseph College and at NAPA Auto Parts in Rensselaer. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Rensselaer.
