Mabel Pauline Barnhardt, 95, of Salisbury went home to be with her Lord and savior on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Born in Rowan County on June 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Grace Krimminger and Manlus Crawford Barnhardt, Sr.
Ms. Barnhardt was a graduate of Catawba College then went to work for Wachovia for many years and later retired from Wells Fargo. She was a lifelong member of First United Church of Christ. She had a passion for people and was known for her hugs and kisses. She had a servant’s heart and loved serving others. Ms. Barnhardt had a great love for her church and was involved in Circle 6 and was the treasurer in the group. In her younger years she also worked with the youth. She also enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, M.C. Barnhardt, Jr., Lamont Barnhardt, and Melvin Barnhardt; sisters, Marie Russell, Margaret Reavis, Sara Clement, and Doris Webb.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
