YECKLEY, Mrs. Mabel E. Sturgis, MI, formerly of Kalamazoo, MI Died Friday evening December 12, 2014 in Sturgis, MI. Mabel was born September 4, 1919 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Ross and Violet Mae Roberts Bussard.
She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with the Kalamazoo State Psychiatric Hospital for over 12 years before retiring. Mabel was also a member of the Parchment United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald N. Yeckley on August 13, 1995; and a sister, Rowena Adams. Mabel is survived by 2 sons, Richard Kathleen Yeckley of Sturgis, MI and David Connie Yeckley of Virginia; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a niece.
