Mabel A. Stanley Preston – Mabel Anna (Hartman) Stanley, 91, of Route 164 died Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norwich. She was born in Freeport, Long Island on September 15, 1920 daughter of the late Arlington and Mary Mae (Koval) Hartman. Mabel was married to Cecil N. Stanley who predeceased her in 2003. Mrs. Stanley worked as a spot welder at Electric Boat, and as a shipping dept. manager for John Meyer, Aaron Dress and the Majestic Trouser Co. Mabel is survived by four children, Diane Coon of Preston, Michael Meronek of Oklahoma, Susan Manning of Enfield and Caroline Avery of Franklin and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister Florence Bates.
