M. Nadine Grant Eldridge, 78, Anderson, died August 29, 2005 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness.
She was born November 26, 1926 in Treece, Kansas, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She has been an Anderson resident since 1946. She retired from Delco Remy, Plant 20, Division of General Motors after 33 years of service. She was a member of South Meridian Church of God and the Christian Women’s Club. She was also a member of the UAW Local #662, VFW Ladies Aux and Pendleton Garden Club. She loved cooking and giving the food to others. She loved gardening, canning, crocheting, knitting and traveling.
She is survived by her two daughters: Karlene Howard Carter Parks of Gaston. Lana George Ledbetter of Anderson. Son: Stephen Connie Eldridge of Anderson. Mother-in-law: Mary Ann Eldridge Phillips of Monterey, Tennessee. Five Grandchildren: Clay Ledbetter, Ian Parks, Jennifer Sheets, Jessica Shawn Buckner and Debra Parks. Ten Great Grandchildren: Collin, Jimmy, Dalton, Sarah, Courtney, Julia, Remington, Macedonia, Andrew and Andre. Nieces & Nephews: Michelle David Russell, Linda Robert Ford, Claudia Steve Vest, David Susie Regret, Richard Sharon Regret and many others in Tennessee and Virginia. Special Friend: Bonnie VanHorn. Girlfriends from Childhood: Dollie Ragsdale of Paris, Missouri and Ellen Mentzer of Granby, Missouri. Many other friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married December 4, 1943: Oliver Dalton Eldridge who passed away March 11, 1991. Parents: Claude Alexander and Zora Inez Usrey Grant. Grandson: Bradford Xavier Parks. Two Brothers and Two Sisters: Carl Grant, Nellie Grant, Gwendolyn Regret and Lilbert Grant. Niece: Doris Gimblin.
