Details: M. Elaine Lucas, 85, a longtime resident of South Baltimore died on May 12, 2015 at Family Home Care Assisted Living. Mrs. Lucas was born on March 3, 1930 in Baltimore, MD to the late William and Bessie Brisbois. She worked as a payroll clerk for JE Smith for over 20 years retiring in 1992. Mrs. Lucas was a member of the former Olive Branch United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Locus Point Senior Club. Her hobbies included making crafts and word search puzzles. She was an avid reader and a sports enthusiast especially the Orioles. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lucas is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, James F. Lucas, Sr., 3 brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her son James F. Lucas, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Pasadena, her daughter Susan Harnsberger and her husband Robert of Baltimore, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
