M. Clark Holcomb was born to Z.M. and Lucile Holcomb on November 11, 1923 at Macksville, Kansas.

Clark married Neila Altig in June of 1945 and two sons were born to them, Darel Clark and Dennis Kent and they have been a very close knit family since then.

In 1977, Clark and Neila started a modern hog raising facility and when the price of hogs declined sharply, they turned the facility into a calf raising unit which worked very well for raising Holstein heifer calves. Both Clark and Neila loved working with animals.

Whey they retired, they golfed, traveled and rode their Yamaha ATV into the back roads of Idaho and rode their beautiful Peruvian Paso horses throughout the state. After retirement, Clark also enjoyed ferrying automobiles for Edmark Motors to all parts of the Pacific Northwest.

Clark will be remembered for his engaging stories, incredible memory, unwavering honesty and integrity. He had a special gift of filling his life and those around him with warmth and wisdom. It seemed as if he was an endless fountain of knowledge, a book without end. He read countless books on history and passed the knowledge on to others, he was fascinated about what life had to offer.

In March of 2002, he and Neila sold their farm, which they had lived on for 48 years and built a new home at Goldcrest Estates.

Clark passed away Friday, February 12, 2010 at home of natural causes. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Neila; two sons and daughters-in-law, Darel Clark and Lois and Dennis Kent and Christy, all of Middleton; a brother, Eldon Holcomb; four granddaughters;  three great granddaughters and many extended family members.

Clark was a devoted husband and father and a wonderful family man.
