DURHAM M. Allene Cobb Pursselley, age 97, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Antioch Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Stephen Cobb and Edna Stice Cobb and was predeceased by her husband, Glenn F. Pursselley. She was a homemaker and member of Central Church of Christ and the V.A. Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered at the V.A. Hospital in Durham for 20 years and was a long supporter of the Southern Children’s Home in South Carolina. She loved to read, knit, sew, and play Bridge and Scrabble. Most of all she loved her family.
Mrs. Purselley is survived by 3 daughters: Patricia Ison of Columbus, Georgia, Cynthia Atkins of Antioch, Tennessee, and Glennys Storch of Durham. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
