Lynne J. Winterholter, 70, went home to her heavenly Father, Friday evening, with her husband by her side. She was born the daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Carlson) Fridstrom in Evanston, IL.
Lynne married Larry Winterholter on August 28, 1965 in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Schurz High School, Chicago, in 1962, attended Taylor University from 1962 – 1965, and graduated in 1966 from Malone College with a B.A. degree in English. Along with her husband, she moved to Upland from Normal, IL in 1979.
She was a member of the Upland Community Church, Taylor Women’s Book Club, Morning Glories, and Tuesday Night Bible Study. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, and loved spending time and investing in the lives of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Larry; a son, Tim (Marcy) Winterholter, Ft. Wayne; two daughters, Becky (Alan) Mercer, Overland Park, Kansas; Laurie (Kyle) Lilly, Adrian, Michigan; two sisters, Carol (Dave) Eckstrom, Peshtigo, Wisc.; Joni (Robert) Blixt, Wyomissing, Penn; eleven grandchildren, Ethan, Katie, Ashley, Jay, Jenna, Hanson, Caleb, Kelsie, Whitney, Jael, and Micah.
