Lynn Wallace was born the second of three sons to Willis J. and Lucy A. (Vodraska) Wallace on November 15th, 1930, in rural Spirit Lake, Iowa. Lynn received his childhood education from the Lakeville Township II School and then from the Milford school system, graduating in 1948.On the 11th day of May, 1951, Lynn married Loraine Christensen, the gal he had met at the roller skating rink in Arnold’s Park back in 1948. To this union, five children were brought into this world and raised on the family farm west of Spirit Lake. Lynn was a grain and livestock farmer most of his life until he chose to step back from those responsibilities and take on a more active role with the civil service.
