It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Lynn Joyce, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey at the age of 95 on December 20, 2022.

Born in New York City to Alfred and Wilhelmina Muller, Lynn grew up in Oakhurst, New Jersey and was a proud graduate of Asbury Park High School and Monmouth Junior College.

In 1948, she married her true love, Thomas S. Joyce. Together they built a life of incredible adventure and simple joys.
Some of Lynn’s best days were marked by a special touch of everyday magic: The day she sunk a hole-in-one at Bamm Hollow; her tenure as a Cub Scout Leader and member of the Swiss Club; the countless hours on the tennis court with friends. And then there were the many years she spent enjoying Takanasse Beach, where she was a member from the age of seven until the beach closed in 2006. You would find her there in her favorite beach chair, completing her New York Times Crossword or playing Scrabble with friends.

A lifelong Yankees fan, Lynn rarely missed a game and often told of her thrilling run-in with longtime Yanks announcer Phil Rizzuto at a local restaurant.

Lynn’s love for those in her life was expansive and profound. Lucky were those who received one of her meticulously handcrafted greeting cards in the mail, or happened upon one of her beautifully designed stones. A talented creator, she saw the beauty in everything and loved to work with her hands on needlepoint and crafts. She was dedicated to her family: her children and grandchildren and her pets.

Though we are heartbroken, we remain ever grateful that she was ours.
