Lynn B. Schultz, 78, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 8:35 am on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Generations at Riverview in East Peoria, IL after an extended illness. He was born on October 11, 1942, in Clinton, IA, to John B. and Lois W. (Hugunin) Schultz.

Surviving are his four children, Shelley Jones, Bobby Schultz, and Annie (Britt) Strayer, and Bobby Schultz all of Davenport, IA, and Amy (Cody) Jackson of Chillicothe, IL; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Ashley, Joshua, Quinn, Emma, Hensley, and Presley; one great-granddaughter, Autumn and one on the way; siblings, Mitzi (Kent) Johnson of East Moline, IL, James (Judy) Schultz of Clarksville, TN, and JoDee (Dave) Hull of Clinton, IA; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Scott Schultz, and sister Sharon Wernick.

Lynn was a carpenter by trade and in the 1970’s and opened and operated Lynco Construction until he retired. He loved going to Wisconsin and spent many years camping with family and enjoyed staying at his cabin that he had built. He was a strong man. Lynn had MS for 32 years and never saw it as a disability, rather an obstacle. He would say put that MS in the back seat and drive your own life. He practiced his biblical faith as one of Jehovah Witnesses and his hope consisted of a resurrection.

Lynn’s family would like to give special thanks to his spiritual brother and friend, Dan Treese, for everything that he did. He was always there for Lynn no matter what.
