Lynette Sumner-Hill, age 57, of the Eagle Clan and Red Lake, Minnesota went home on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN. She was born in Red Lake, MN on May 22, 1960 to Donna Mae (Hanson) and John Franklin Sumner, Sr.
Lynette worked for various people throughout her life. She worked for the Red Lake Employment office, the Head Start Program, at both Donna’s and Bernadine’s Cafes and the IGA before she started her own cooking business. Lynette loved cooking and was known for her famous frybread and her food stand at powwows. She enjoyed traveling, going to powwows and gambling but favorite pastime was spending time with her grandkids and her family.
Family Lynette has been reunited with are her father; John Sumner, Sr., brothers; Donald Sumner, Sr. and Anthony Hanson and grandchildren; Rodney White III and Joseph Sumner.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 10 years; Sam Hill, sons; Chris (Brianna) Sumner, Claude (Andi) Neadeau, Jr., Lee (Delores) Neadeau, Sr., Lydell (Jesslyn) Neadeau and Devin (Jennessa) Sumner, daughter; Laura Sumner, mother; Donna Sumner, sisters; Sharron Sumner and Jan Stillday, brothers; Darwin Sumner and John Sumner, Jr., special niece; Farrah Nelson, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
