Lynette M. Emery, age 81, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at her residence with her family by her side.
Lynette was born July 16, 1940 in Amherst, WI to Johan and Luella (Johnson) Loberg. She graduated from Madison Area Technical College in 1960 with a degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse at Riverview Hospital and Family Heritage Nursing Home in Wisconsin Rapids until her retirement. After retirement, Lynette continued to care for others as a home health care aid.
Lynette was united in marriage to George Emery on October 15, 1966 at South New Hope Lutheran Church. They were blessed with 48 years of marriage. George passed away in 2014.
Lynette’s life centered around her family and her faith. She loved any family get togethers, especially when they involved camping. She also enjoyed horses and horseback riding. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a member of the “Golden Girls” retired nurses’ group.
Lynette is survived by four sons: Dale Emery of Amherst, Kurt Emery of Rudolph, and Todd (Alice) Emery and Joel (Nicole) Emery of Wisconsin Rapids; one daughter, Jacqueline (Leroy) Elyea of Brainard, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren: Ben, Josh, Nick, Adam, Bailey, Blaine, Breanna, Leah, Jordan, Johnathan, Wyatt, Paige, and Ryan; five great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Bella. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband George; son Mark; and two brothers, Merlin and Lowell Loberg.
