Lynda K. Beer, 69, of Jacksonville and formerly of Springfield, died Monday, August 6, 2018, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing. She was born April 10, 1949, in Springfield, the daughter of Frank and Lucinda Hermon Neposchlan. She married Glen Beer on May 7, 1983, in Springfield, and he survives.
She is also survived by four children, David (Paul) Cooley of Melbourne, Australia, Matthew Cooley, Laura (Mathew) Grubb of Jacksonville, and Brent (Lindsay) Beer of Amsterdam, Netherlands; three grandchildren, Danica and Milo Grubb, and Benjamin Beer; three sisters, Anna Passini, Carol Ramsey, and Elaine Rogers; and one brother, Frank Neposchlan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Beer retired from the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services in 2011. She enjoyed landscaping and especially loved her grandchildren.
