Lyle Richey, 70, Anderson, died June 16, 2010 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a brief illness.
He was born January 28, 1940 in Schuyler County, Illinois, and resided in Anderson for the last 2 1/2 years. He served his country in the US Army. Lyle retired from Western Illinois University after 15 years of service.
He is survived by his children, Carmella Walker of Florida, Keisha Ellen Johns of Anderson and Anson Kyle Sylvanus Richey of Indianapolis; five brothers, Willard Richey of Vermont, Walter “Bud” Richey of New Philedelphia, Jim Richey of Vermont, Ted Richey of Vermont and Keith Richey of Vermont; one sister, Mary Ann Plate; seven grandchildren, two of which reside in Anderson, Joshua Shaffer and Stephanie Shaffer; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Rose Marie Osborn, Nelda Reid and Linda Short and brother, Charles Richey.
