West Bend…Lyle Dale Eldridge, 72 of West Bend died Sunday January 27, 2019 at his home in West Bend. Friends may pay their respects to the family Saturday, February 9 from 1-4 PM at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend.
Lyle, the son of Dale and Beulah (Henry) Eldridge, was born June 5, 1946 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where he was raised and received his education. He joined the National Guard December 18, 1962 and then the United States Navy November 19, 1963 through 1969. After his military service, he worked at Baker Truck Line in Livermore, IA for many years. He then worked for Umthum Trucking out of Eagle Grove, IA, and Teva out of Fort Dodge as a supervisor, before retiring and relocating to West Bend in 2010.
Survivors include his children: Shirley Bjorkland (Chad Braun) of Dows, IA, Dale Eldridge (Liesly Avenido) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Ernest Eldridge (Rajean) of West Bend, Iowa and Tammy Peterson (Eric) of Spencer, IA; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a brother Donald Eldridge (Karen) of Fort Dodge, Iowa Lyle was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Beulah Eldridge and a son Steven Eldridge.
