Lydia Vento Elizondo

Lydia V. Elizondo, age 88, went home to be with the Lord peacefully Saturday June 12, 2021 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1933 in El Capote, Mexico, daughter to Francisco Fuentes and Francisca Vento. On October 4, 1959, she married the love of her life, Rogelio “Roy” Elizondo, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in La Feria, TX. Roy and Lydia had resided in Harlingen the past 31 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Rogelio “Roy” Elizondo, her Siblings and in-laws, Carlos Fuentes (Esperanza), Joe Fuentes (Claudia), Otila Gomez, Graciela Garza and Hermelinda Vento (Fidencio). She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
Lydia is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Eddie Fuentes, Uvaldo Fuentes and Paco Fuentes.
