Lydia Mae Schroyer, 89, formerly of the 1200 block St. Davids Road, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Hazleton General Hospital.
Lydia’s husband of 64 years, Walter A. Schroyer, died June 24, 2007.
Lydia was a member of St. John’s-Newberry United Methodist Church and a 1940 graduate of the Williamsport High School.
Lydia had worked for Bell Telephone, L. L. Stearns, Avco Credit Union and retired from Alcan Cable as a switchboard operator.
Born September 12, 1922 Williamsport, she was the daughter of Harry F. and Sarah E. Ryder Cohan.
Surviving are a son, Stanley A. of Drums; daughter Vivian L. (Bill) Hillman of Williamsport; grandsons, Keith E. (Precie) Schroyer and Michael W. (Kimberly) Hillman; God Son, Adam H. Nelson; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Lydia was predeceased by a grandson, Todd R. Hillman, brothers, E. George Cohan and Stanley L. Cohan; sisters Olive A. Shaffer and Ocie M. Cook.
