Mr. Luther Jackson Huggins, 79 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. He was a son to the late Leslie Lowell Huggins and Nellie Mae Williams Huggins and had lived most of his life in Lake City and attended Columbia High School. Mr. Huggins was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Homes of Merit as a sales manager.
Survivors include his two sons, Michael D. Huggins (Georgelle), Lake City and Joseph “Jody” Huggins (Rhonda), Charlotte, NC; his “adopted in love son”, Bill Reed; two daughters, Christie Lynn Hogan (Jeffrey) and Casey Roberts (Aaron) both of Lake City; two sisters, Lillian Huggins and Eunice Spencer; and his caregiver, Gail Burress, Lake City. Eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.
