Mr. Luther Franklin, age 89, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. He was born in 1932 in Branchville, West Virginia to the late Vergie & Denver Franklin.
Luther joined the U.S. Air Force on May 22, 1951 where here served until his retirement on August 31, 1975. It was during his career that he served in Vietnam and he received the Bronze Star. In the early 1960’s, he found his passion for Martial Arts.
His parents; several siblings; daughter, Dianna Lynn; his grandson, Richard Allen Powell; and his wife of over fifty years, Eunice, precede Luther in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Sue and husband Todd; son, Jim and wife Dolly; daughter, Judi; grandson, Perry J. Powell, Jr. and great-granddaughter, Alexa Star Powell; grandson, Austin Denver Franklin; brother, Johnny and wife Sue; sisters, Bonnie and Joyce; and many nieces and nephews.
