Luther F. Russell, 64, of Mendota, died at 1:30 pm December 9,2014 in Mendota Community Hospital.
Luther was born in Clarksdale,MS on May 23,1950 to Dewey and Vera(Sanders)Russell. He married Carolyn Riva on June 26,1982. Luther served with the US Navy during the Korean War and was stationed on an Aircraft Carrier from 1970 to 1974. He was an fork lift operator for many years.
Luther is survived by one son, Jerry(Shannon)Russell of Mendota and one granddaughter Autumn Russell; three sisters, Mary Francis Bright, Sherry Ann Grummer and Donna Faye Brommet; two brothers, Bobby Howard Russell and Dean Russell; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
