Luther Boyd was born on November 6, 1926 to the late Carlton Tommy Boyd and Minnie Loyd Boyd.
He joined Byler Road Church of Christ later in life.
He worked at Universal Construction as a laborer for 30 years
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hattie Gibson; son, Pervis Boyd, Jr.; daughter, Pearl Boyd; sister, Emma Jones and brothers, Carl Boyd and Eugene Boyd.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Irene (Ado) Conerly of Huntsville, Richard Boyd of Moulton, Donnie Boyd of Muscle Shoals, Cecil Boyd of Muscle Shoals, Billy Ray Boyd of Moulton, Clyde Boyd of Muscle Shoals, Lula M. (Ricky) Baldon of Louisville, KY and Keith Boyd of Huntsville; sisters, Bessie Echols, Marie Truss, Hattie McDaniel and Bertha (Witty) McDonald all of Moulton; brothers, Willie Gene Boyd of Moulton; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
