Luther Allen “Luke” Roy, 60, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at his residence in LaBelle, FL.
He was born January 20, 1953, in Norfolk Co., VA, the son of Lester Allen and Sylvan Edistina Smith Roy. He married Debby Cunningham on Sept. 22, 2012, at Starlite Campers in Jacksonville, and she survives.
He is also survived by his step mother, Beverly Lloyd; three children, Jimmy (wife, Rhonda) Roy, Lucretia (husband, Jeff) Clark, and Tonya Roy (fiancé, Terry Willis); two step children, Krista Blakey and Robert (wife, Aubrey) Blakey; one brother, Michael (wife, Cheryl) Roy; eight sisters, Cynthia “Cindy” Rechner, Debra “Debbie” McGrath (fiancé, Russ Hayes),Leslie (husband, Lannie) Spreitzer, Mary (husband, Jeff) Cromer, Pam Roy, Katie Hakie, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Roy, and Sally (husband, Mikie)Dant; 14 grandchildren; and special cousins, Roger Smith, Linda Mahoney, Betty Patterson, and Gary Gabehart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Ed and Maggie Smith and Luther and Katie Simpson.
Mr. Roy was an avid motorcycle rider and a member of the Masons. He also loved to cook and fish.
