Mr. Lurie James Wiggins was born on March 26, 1924 to the late John West Wiggins and Josephine Pruitt in Morgan County, Alabama. He departed this life on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Decatur-Morgan Hospital/Decatur General Campus.
Mr. Wiggins accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Springhill Baptist Church, later named El Shaddai Church Ministries in Trinity, Alabama.
He attended school in Morgan County. Mr. Wiggins loved farming and was a farmer all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Travis, Johnnie, Arthur, Luther, Early and Hugh Wiggins and Booker T. Robinson; sisters, Vera Vaughn and Alidee Wiggins Lloyd.
Mr. Wiggins leaves to cherish his memory: one brother, Charles A. Wiggins Sr. of Decatur; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
