Luretta Rocker Taylor departed this life on Sunday, March 15, 2020 while at Jackson Medical Center in Jackson, AL. She was born March 23, 1948 to Johnny and Bell Rocker Perine. 

Luretta was a graduate of the Clarke County Public School System and worked as school janitress. She was a faithful member of Fervent Life Worship Center in Choctaw Bluff, AL, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and Mother’s Board. Cooking, gardening, church, family and friends are a few things that were special to her.

Preceding her in death were her son, Broderick Taylor; and parents, Johnny Rocker Sr., and Bell Perine Rocker; sisters; Rebecca Rocker Black, Fannie Collins, Lillian Reed and Lula Mae Perine; brothers; Mack, Wyatt, Johnny Jr., James, William and Willie Ed Rocker; five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law; mother and father-in-law, Charlie, Sr. and Lela Taylor.

Left to forever cherish her memories are her husband, David Taylor, Choctaw Bluff, AL; her daughter, Tiffany Taylor, Atlanta, GA; son, David Demetrius Taylor, Choctaw Bluff, AL; two sisters, Shirley (Frank) Richardson and Annie Rocker, both of Choctaw Bluff, AL; two brothers, J. C. (Claudia) Rocker and Chester Rocker, both of Choctaw Bluff, AL; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; seven sisters-in-law; Shirley (Blanche) Jones of Mobile, AL, Lorean (Jordan) Washington, Lillie Adam, Melissa Taylor all of Jackson, AL., Sandra (Earl, Jr.) Moore of Savannah, GA..,  , Etta Rocker and Catherine Rocker both of Mobile, AL., four brothers-in-law; Charlie Taylor, Jr., Robert (Mattie) Taylor both of Jackson, AL., Earnest Taylor of Detroit, MI., and Sidney Taylor of Montgomery, AL., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
