On Monday, June 27, 2022, Luray Anna Semmler Mann, “Momma Ray,” “Toots,” “GiGi,” passed away peacefully with family by her side. Loving mother of Richard C. Perry and his wife Faith, Edward A. Perry and his wife Karla and Laura Diegel and her husband John. Devoted grandmother of Charles, Liberty, Calvert, Rachel, Nancy, Justin, Amanda, Allison, Jessica, Justine and the late Jayson Diegel, Sr. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren; Charlotte, Soren, Carly, Gavin, Jacob, Nathan, Jordan, Nicholas, Carter, Faith, Jaymee, Kaylee, Marlie, Orion, Oliver and Jayson, Jr. and many other family and loving friends.
Luray grew up in Baltimore and attended Patterson Park where she graduated in 1951. She was a member of the radio club and played both basketball and softball. She was an avid fan of both the Orioles and the Colts, and eventually the Ravens. Luray was a gifted crafter and baker. She taught ceramics for years and crocheting blankets for each new family member was a special joy. She was also a charter member of the Our Redeemer/Rejoice Fellowship congregation and was active in the outreach ministry. One of her favorite activities was to be surrounded by family around a table piled high with steamed crabs.
