Mrs. Lula Marie Mason Lampkin was born on August 29, 1931 in Limestone County, Alabama to the late Dan and Lottie Mae Hampton Mason. She peacefully departed this life on August 21, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Oakland United Methodist Church. She fellowshipped with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. Mrs. Lampkin was a graduate of Central High School in Courtland, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, W.H. Lampkin; her parents, Dan and Lottie Mason; one daughter, Robin Lampkin Stevenson; two sons, Dwight Lampkin and Ronnie Lampkin; five brothers, King Mason, Nelson Mason, Dan Mason Jr., James Lee Mason and Ollice Mason; two sisters, Thene West and Chattie Chapman.
Her loving memory and lasting impression will be cherished by: two daughters, Hilda Lampkin McComb and Carolyn Gaiter; three sons, Steven, Danny and Derrick Lampkin all of Decatur; two brothers, Leroy (Catherine) Mason of Chattanooga, TN and Henry (Alberta) Mason of Courtland; one aunt, Martha Bonner of Cleveland, OH; three sisters-in-law: Fannie Mason of Chattanooga, TN and Christine Allen of Hartselle and Stella Mason of Decatur; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
