Luke J. Zinsky, age 71, of Monroe, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side. Mr. Zinsky was born in Olyphant, PA and was an area resident most of his life, residing in Monroe for the past 40 years. He was a retired electrical engineer and a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the Trumbull VFW Post 100059. A former member of the Newtown Fish & Game , he was also an avid gardener, hunter, and die hard N.Y. Giant’s Football Fan. He was a devoted husband, son, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his beloved wife, Joan Rogers Zinsky of Monroe; his mother, Anna Sopp Zinsky of Trumbull; three sons, Luke and his wife, Janniece Zinsky of Danielson, CT. , Robert and his wife, Lesley Zinsky of Milford, and Edward and his wife, Deborah Zinsky of Ansonia; six grandchildren, Luke Zinsky III, Eve, Hannah, Ethan, Zachary, and Leah Zinsky and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Voccola.
