Lucas R. “Luke” Luchetti, 86, formerly of 311 Eastern St., New Haven, passed away March 25, 2007 in the Jewish Home for the Aged. Born in New Haven in October 1920, he was the son of the late Nicholas & Domenica Quarta Luchetti. A record breaking athlete, he won a scholarship to Cheshire Academy, attended UConn and, later served in the US Army. A well known baritone, he sang at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City before joining the Milton Berle Nite Club Review. He owned and operated the Pinebrook Dinner Theatre in Higganum and produced shows for the Strand and Terra Mar Dinner Theatres. He is survived by a sister, Rose Gherardi of Hamden and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary DeMaio and 2 brothers, Michael and Gabriel Dante Luchetti.
