Luke Hogan Lenti, 26, loving son of Kelly Hogan Lenti and Michael Lenti and cherished brother of Peter and Benjamin passed away suddenly on June 12th. Luke was born on May 16, 1994 in Chicago, Illinois. He spent his childhood growing up in Chicago (Lincoln Park and Edgebrook) and Park Ridge, Illinois. Luke’s greatest joy was playing sports with his brothers and friends in elementary and high school. He graduated from Maine South High School as a proud member of the Class of 2012. Luke wore #42 and played linebacker and full back for the Maine South Hawks where he was as starting member of the 2009 Class 7A IHSA State Football Championship Team that went undefeated on the season. He also was a member the 2010 Class 7A IHSA State Football Champs. Luke also attended DePaul University. Luke loved to fish, enjoyed water sports and body building and listening to music. He will be forever remembered for his big heart, his beautiful smile, contagious laugh and his ability to make others laugh with him.
Luke was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Bonnie Hogan (Banzer) and Rose Lenti (Frangella), his great grandparents George and Irene Hogan, Charles and Delores Banzer, Frank and Concetta Frangella, Eugene and Josephine Lenti, great aunt Marcia Woods (Hogan). He is survived by his grandfather Frank Lenti, great aunts Patricia Winesburg (Hogan) and Cheryl Henning (Banzer), great aunt and uncle Gary and Barb Banzer , aunts and uncles Heather Carter (Hogan), George Hogan, Frank Lenti, Kevin and Marilyn (Lenti) Joyce, Joe and Jean Lenti Ponsetto, Eugene and Kandace Lenti, David and Kelly Lenti. Several cousins, MacKenzie Ayers, Jax and Cade Carter, Frank Lenti, Lauren Lenti, Kevin Joyce, Mike and Kristen (Joyce) Werner, Michael Joyce, Patrick and Katy (Gaughan) Joyce, Kyle and Ali (Lenti) Gustafson, Gena Lenti, Cate Lenti, Jake Lenti and Matthew Lenti.
