Luigia “Gina” (Marchetti) Tarascio, wife of the late Carmelo Tarascio, passed away in Hartford Hospital on January 24, 2022. She was born on October 8, 1923, in Foggia, Italy, immigrated to Hartford in 1967 and later lived for the remainder of her life in Newington. Luigia worked for the Nelson Factory and later at Travelers Insurance, both in Hartford, until her retirement. Gina lived very independently and was a great source of strength in her role as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to all her loved ones, providing consolation and support through her countless prayers and rosaries. Her Roman Catholic faith and daily mass viewed on television was her foundation and constant source of peace.
