Luigi Ariosto Jr., 59, of Hamden passed away April 21, 2016 in the St. Raphael’s Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Laura Zaino Ariosto. Mr. Ariosto was born in Providence, R.I. on March 31, 1957, son of the late Luigi and Santina Bongiardo Ariosto. Prior to his retirement, he was a maintenance man in the Warwick, R.I. school system for 20 years. He was an avid sports fan who especially loved the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Luigi Ariosto and Lisa (Joseph) Stanelun, both of Warwick; step children, Frank (Kasey) Sullivan and Lisa Sullivan, both of Hamden; one sister, Sandra Pellegrino of Johnston, R.I.; one grandson, L.J. Ariosto and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Penna.
