Luella A. (Roth) “Ella” Sramek, 96, of Peru, passed away Monday morning, April 7, 2014 at Heritage Healthcare Center in LaSalle.
Mrs. Sramek was born on March 21, 1918 in Peru to William and Anna (Scheuer) Roth. She married William Sramek on June 8, 1946 in St. Joseph’s Church Peru. She worked at Westclox in Peru and was later a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Peru, Alter and Rosary Society, Young Ladies Society at St. Joseph’s Church, and Sweat Adeline’s. She was an avid golfer and was a member of South Bluff County Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen (Earl) Lieske of Ottawa and Kathy (Marty) Rossi of Los Angeles, CA; one son, William (Katherine) Sramek of Peru; 8 grandchildren, Earl Lieske III, Judith Easley, Greta Lieske, Lorna Sramek, Audrey Sramek, Joseph Sramek, James Sramek, and Shannon Schumacker; 2 great-grandsons, Ethan and Willy Sramek; one great-granddaughter, Isabel Luella Easley; one sister, Dolores Ceresa. She was preceded in by her husband, William “Bill” Sramek on July 7, 2007; one son, Dennis Sramek; two brothers, William and Ralph Roth; 5 sisters, Charlotte Roth, Marie Monterastelli, Helen Hoffman, Millie Roth, and Doris Roth. Pallbearers will be Earl Lieske, Jr., Earl Lieske III, Joseph Sramek, James Sramek, Raymond Ceresa, and Gary Ceresa.
