Luella Mae Bowman, 78, of Belt, died Tuesday, December 11 at a local hospital of complications from a perforated stomach ulcer.
Luella graduated in 1952 from Great Falls from Great Falls High School, where she met her future husband, and was married in 1952. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for various companies and assisted her husband, Paul, with the operation of their farm and ranch. Luella received a diploma in interior decorating from La Salle Extension University in 1977.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed vacationing in sunny dstinations with family and friends, and shopping for unique items. Luella’s hobbies included crafting, decorating her home, and gardening.
Luella is survived by her sons Lon E. (Joyce) Bowman and family of Sun River, Ron D. (Karen) Bowman and family of Cayley, Alberta, Canada, Ron’s daughter, Bridgette Bowman of Houston, TX; daughter Lisa B. (David) Bergum of Carlsbad, CA and their children Laurelin, Brynn, and David Paul; and her brother Donald (Nelda) Salonen of Great Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Bowman; Silvia (Taskila) Lassila and Emil Salonen.
