Ardmore native, Lucy Rhea Hagen passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at an Ardmore convalescent home at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 9 days.
Lucy was born November 18, 1932 to the late O. C. and Willie Edna (McBride) Hagen at Ardmore, Oklahoma. She grew up here and was a graduate of Ardmore High School. Lucy attended the Wesley School of Nursing in Oklahoma City, graduating with a Registered Nursing degree.
Returning to Ardmore she worked in the offices of Dr. C.D. Cunningham and Dr. Ralph Murphy and later at the Medical Arts Clinic. Lucy had a passion for Bass fishing and won several trophies, in tournaments that she entered. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Bob and two sisters, Mary Jane and Ruth Ann. She is survived by her nieces, Marian Anderson and husband, Duane, of Norman; Lana Wolff and husband , Jim of Arlington, Texas; Beth Rognerud and husband, Sven of Breckenridge, Colorado and nephew, Dwight Darrow and wife Karen of Oklahoma City; also numerous great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
