Lucy Mae Watts, daughter of James Aubrey Gaynor and Lula Virginia Costello, died 2 October 2018. Born in Summit Point, Jefferson County, WV, February 11, 1923, she married Julius Irving Watts, 21 years later on her birthday. They were married in Hagerstown, Maryland. Mr. Watts was in the Army medical corps, stationed at Newton D. Baker General Hospital in Martinsburg, WV, when they met and married. He was deployed to the European Theatre in 1945. In 1946, Mrs. Watts and her two year old son, Donald Eugene, departed West Virginia, for Germany.
