Lucy J. Bixby
Newark – Lucy Jane Bixby, 88 of St. Ann’s Home formerly of the Rose Garden Apartments died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at her residence.
Family and friends may call Thursday (June 6) from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Norman L.
Mrs. Bixby was born the daughter of Alfred and Nellie Becker Tyler on November 24, 1913 in Moline, Illinois. She lived most of her childhood in Weedsport, graduating from Weedsport High School. She worked as a Department Manager at the Big N in Newark and Geneva for many years. Mrs. Bixby was a member of the RSVP and the Arcadia Reformed Church in Newark.
Mrs. Bixby is survived by her son Michael (Catherine) Bixby of Florida; daughters Patricia (Dominick) Trunzo of Ontario, NY and Zoe (James) Morris of Rochester, NY; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter; sister-in-law Margaret Metcalf of Savannah; many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bixby was predeceased by her husband Jerome Bixby on August 24, 1991.
