Lucy Gibson, age76, formerly of Rensselaer, IN passed away on Saturday June 5, 2010 at the Indiana Veterans’ Home West Lafayette, IN.
Lucy was born on April 8, 1934 in Elizabeth, LA to the late Davide and Olive (Maricle) Thompson. Lucy was a resident for nine years at the Indiana Veterans’ Home. She had also lived in Enos and Goodland, IN. On February 22, 1956 in Pitkin, Louisiana she married Charles E. Gibson who passed away March 18, 1999.
Lucy had attended Plainview School Glenmore, LA, was a devoted homemaker and had worked at White’s Auto Sales and had managed Northside Car Wash. She was a member of the Morocco American Legion Post 146. Lucy was an Avid Purdue , NASCAR, Football, Basketball and Chicago Cubs Fan.
Lucy is survived by; Daughter, Linda Marie (Ralph) Schultz of Valparaiso, IN, a daughter, Brenda Parrish of Chula Vista, CA, a son, David ( Lisa) Gibson of Lafayette, IN, a daughter Cathy (Garry) Streitmatter of Rensselear, IN, a sister, Bernice LeBlanc of , LA, a brother, Roy (Susan) Thompson of LA, Jackie (Catherine) Thompson of LA, a brother, LC (Doris) Thompson of MS Judy (Glen) Martin of AL, 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two brother in laws, Mort Downey of IN and Bill McBride of LA.
She is preceded in death by; Her husband , her parents and three sisters.
