Lucinda (Cindy) Faith Zumr, 57, of Boise passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, May 5 following a 21 month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Cindy was born June 14, 1957 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey; the daughter of William and Nancy Lechtenberg. The family relocated to Boise in November of 1972. She graduated from Borah in 1975. In 1992, Cindy accomplished a longtime goal by graduating from BSU with a degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education.
In addition to her love for her work, Cindy discovered an interest in Persian cats and developed a business in breading them over the last ten years; she had joy in watching her babies go to loving homes.

Cindy is survived by her daughters: Hollie and Kristy Zumr of Florida, and Stephanie Sunday (and son-in-law Neil Sunday) of Texas; long-time partner Delain Fyock of Boise; nine grandchildren; her father William C. Lechtenberg of Meridian; and siblings Kurt Lechtenberg (and sister-in-law Barbi Lechtenberg) of Kuna, Dora Lechtenberg of Boise, and Joanne Exley (and brother-in-law Cliff Exley) of Boise. She was preceded in death by her mother Nancy Lechtenberg and brothers Karl and Bill Lechtenberg.
