Passed away on January 19, 2012 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. Beloved long time companion of Douglas Turner; devoted mother of Daniel Budd (Karen) of Eugene, OR, Barbara Smith (Ellis) of Frederick, MD, Christine Gaither (Roger) of Gaithersburg, MD and Ronald Budd (Ianthia) of Ijamsville, MD. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Kevin and Stephanie Turner; one brother, James Prather; two sisters Helen Moten and Elizabeth Davis and a devoted aunt, Helen Jackson (James) of Washington, DC. She also leaves to mourn 22 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Lucille attended Montgomery County Public Schools. She was an active member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Boyds, MD. She enjoyed cooking for anyone and didn’t mind delivering it to you. During her younger days she loved to go fishing, gardening, can fruits and vegtetables, drive fast with two feet and neverminded a bus trip to Atlantic City.
