Lucille Z. “Lucy” Moyer, 62, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 5:40 pm on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at her residence. She was born on November 14, 1958 in Peoria, IL, to Richard F. and Nellie Mae (Kennell) Zoss. She married Dean Z. Moyer on May 4, 1991 in Eureka, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Dean of Metamora; father, Richard of Washburn; brother, Rich (Esther) Zoss of Mt. Dora, FL; and nieces and nephews, Dexter, Monica, and Deon Zoss. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Lucy’s interest in banking started in high school, first working at the Washburn Bank. Her career continued for over 25 years. She retired from Heartland Bank as vice president of mortgage lending. She was fulfilled working closely with her customers and was rewarded with long lasting friendships.
In 2004, Lucy became a charter member of P.E.O., Chapter OC where she had a close bond with her P.E.O. sisters.
